Inland Empire Caucus

More than 100 guests, including elected officials and representatives, attended the Inland Empire Caucus’ 14th Annual Legislative Breakfast at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Ontario.

“The Show Must Go On,” the Broadway theme, conveyed the importance and significance that even when faced with unexpected problems, challenges, or barriers, adequate funding for services for Californians with disabilities must go on. It’s critical to work together to build a strong and stable system that results in meaningful services and success for these remarkable individuals.

“Thank you for supporting people like me at work and in our community; everyone in this room appreciates you,” said LTC client Kevin Pierce as he presented the Legislator of the Year award to Assembly member Chris Holden.

“Assembly member Holden’s strong leadership demonstrates his commitment to the needs of people with disabilities through his continuous advocacy and support” was shared with the audience by LTC President Caron Nunez as she joined Kevin Pierce and Assembly member Holden on stage for the ceremony.

Quoting Winston Churchill, Assembly member Holden began his acceptance speech with “He who dares, wins. We need to keep working together to make a difference, to help those who need us; don’t give up, we are all working for a solution.”
