Volunteers are an important part of our work at Lincoln Training Center. These dedicated individuals ensure that more adults with disabilities can receive the services they need to be successful. Volunteers are used in the following capacities:
- Transitional Learning Circle – Work one-on-one providing assistance and support to a Lincoln client
- Special Friend Program – Work with a designated client on Lincoln’s production line
- Production Line Volunteer – Work side-by-side with production line clients
- Special Events Volunteer – Assist Lincoln in implementing two well-established special events:
- Affair of the Heart – Held each spring, this Auction and Dinner honors Lincoln Training Center clients, employers, volunteers and sponsors
- Lincoln Training Center Annual Golf Classic – Held in the fall, this annual tournament and auction raises funds to support Lincoln’s programs for adults with disabilities
- Clerical and Office Assistance – Support is needed to assist with office projects on an ongoing basis
- Mailings – Help our Development staff mail invitations, newsletters and other ongoing projects
